47th Can-Am 7s Tournament Takes Shape!

Changes to this year's qualifiers bring a new feeling to the game for the men's side while continued growth and additional teams on the women's+ side allows for multiple divisions.

Changes to this year's qualifiers bring a new feeling to the game for the men's side while continued growth and additional teams on the women's+ side allows for multiple divisions.

The wait is officially over. Tomorrow, Saturday, July 11th, the 47th Annual Can-Am 7s Tournament returns to the world-class deWilde Rugby & Polo Fields in Ferndale, WA. Known across the Pacific Northwest as "Rugby Christmas," this year's edition promises a massive day of fast-paced sevens, intense club rivalries, and unmatched sideline culture right on the border.

This year brings high stakes alongside the social atmosphere: the Women’s+/Open division serves as a vital US National Qualifier pathway, while the Men’s division brings familiar faces back to the pitch to play hard and fast.

Under the new leadership of Tournament Director Matt Holmes and with all the amazing club volunteers, everything is locked and loaded. Longtime tournament partner Boundary Bay Brewery is handling the beer garden setups, and Sports Physical Therapy will be on-site all day to keep players taped, mended, and moving.

Spectator admission is entirely free, so whether you are playing or cheering, pack a lawn chair, set up a team tent, and head out to the fields!

Official Tournament Schedule (Saturday, July 11)

  • Key Layout Note: To create the ultimate championship atmosphere, the final five games of the day are happening exclusively on the Bay Pitch, located directly adjacent to the Boundary Bay Beer Garden. Grab a beverage, find a spot on the sideline, and don't miss the trophies being handed out!
